FAQs

Why do people still call the Willis Tower the Sears Tower?

It was the Sears Tower until a 2009 naming rights lease; locals still use the old name.

The building was known as the Sears Tower from its construction until the naming rights were included in a 2009 lease with the Willis Group. Local residents still refer to it by the old name, so both names are in everyday use.
