The Casa de Tucumán, also known as the Historical House of Tucumán, is a historic building in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, built during the Spanish colonial period. The Congress of Tucumán met in the house during the Argentine War of Independence and issued the Argentine Declaration of Independence there on July 9, 1816. The building was nationalized decades later and partially demolished due to its poor condition, then reconstructed in a simplified version of its original layout. It was declared a National Historic Monument of Argentina in 1941 and today serves as a museum.
