The Auckland Sky Tower is a 328-metre telecommunications and observation tower at the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets in Auckland, New Zealand, designed by Gordon Moller of Craig Craig Moller Architects with structural engineering by the Beca Group and completed on August 3, 1997. It is the second-tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere and served as New Zealand's tallest structure from 1996 until 2022. The tower carries multiple observation levels, including the open-air Sky Deck near 220 meters, and houses New Zealand's only revolving restaurant, which completes a full rotation roughly once an hour; visitors can also take the SkyJump, a controlled cable descent of about 192 meters down the tower's exterior. Since its opening the Sky Tower has become the defining feature of the Auckland skyline.
