Pyramid of Khui

The Pyramid of Khui is an ancient Egyptian funerary structure dating to the early First Intermediate Period, located in the royal necropolis of Dara near Manfalut in Middle Egypt, close to the entrance of the Dakhla Oasis. It is generally attributed to Khui, either a minor king of the Eighth Dynasty or a provincial nomarch who proclaimed himself king around 2150 BC, a period when central authority in Egypt had broken down. Its pyramid complex included a mortuary temple and a mudbrick enclosure wall, both of which, like the main pyramid, now survive only as ruins.
