Milad Tower

The Milad Tower is a 435-metre multipurpose tower in Tehran, Iran, designed by the architect Mohammad Reza Hafezi and completed in 2007, opening to the public on October 7, 2008. It is the tallest tower in Iran and ranks among the tallest freestanding structures in the world. The tower combines telecommunications functions with public facilities that include closed and open observation decks, a revolving restaurant, a separate VIP restaurant and a public art gallery, and it has served as a regular host site for events such as the Fajr International Film Festival. Its name, meaning Birth Tower in Persian, reflects its role as a modern symbol of the Iranian capital, and it remains one of the dominant features of the Tehran skyline.
