Namsan Seoul Tower, also known as N Seoul Tower or simply Seoul Tower, is a 236-metre communication and observation tower on the summit of Namsan mountain in central Seoul, South Korea, designed by the architect Jang Jong-ryul and completed in August 1975. It was the first tower in the country built to serve multiple television and radio broadcasters simultaneously, with its antenna spire bringing its total height to about 279 meters above its base. The tower carries enclosed and open-air observation decks and a rotating French restaurant, n Grill, along with sections of railing covered in padlocks left by visitors as a popular love-locks tradition, and its exterior lighting changes color to indicate the day's air quality. Namsan Seoul Tower has become one of the most recognized symbols of the South Korean capital.
