Macau Tower

The Macau Tower, formally the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center, stands 338 meters tall in the Se district of Macau and opened to the public on December 19, 2001. The structure was engineered by the New Zealander Gordon Moller, with Les Dykstra serving as architect, and it combines a communications and observation tower with convention, theater and retail facilities at its base. Its main observation decks offer panoramic views across the Macau peninsula and the Pearl River Delta, while its outer rim carries the Skywalk X walking circuit around the building's exterior, and it also hosts the highest commercial bungee jump in the world, launched from roughly 233 meters by the operator AJ Hackett. The tower continues to serve a broadcasting and telecommunications role for the territory alongside its tourism functions.
