Westminster Abbey, formally the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter at Westminster, is an Anglican church in the City of Westminster, London. Since 1066 it has hosted the coronations of forty English and British monarchs and served as the burial site of eighteen English, Scottish and British monarchs. At least sixteen royal weddings have taken place there since the year 1100.
