Isaac Watson House

The Isaac Watson House is a stone house at 151 Wescott Avenue in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, just outside Trenton, overlooking Watson Creek and the Abbott Farm National Historic Landmark. Built in 1708 by Isaac Watson, it is the oldest house in Mercer County; its original property extended across roughly 800 acres from the bluff to the Delaware River. The house was reconstructed in 1964 by Margaret G. Finley and the Daughters of the American Revolution Founders Committee as part of the New Jersey Tercentenary Celebration. It was added to the New Jersey Register of Historic Places on January 14, 1972, and to the National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 1974, and today stands on a two acre parcel within the 257 acre John A. Roebling Park nature preserve, serving as headquarters of the New Jersey State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
