The Grove Plantation

The Grove, officially known as the Call/Collins House at The Grove, is an antebellum plantation house in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, built around 1840 by territorial governor Richard Keith Call. Call deeded the property to his daughter Ellen Call Long in 1851, and it later passed to her granddaughter Reinette Long Hunt, who ran it as The Grove Hotel with onsite rental cottages before her death in 1940. After a brief period of other ownership, the house was bought by future Florida governor LeRoy Collins and his wife Mary Call Darby Collins, a great-granddaughter of Richard Keith Call.
