Stratford Hall is a historic house museum in Westmoreland County, Virginia, that served as the plantation house of four generations of the Lee family. It was the boyhood home of Declaration of Independence signers Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee, and the birthplace of Robert E. Lee, who commanded the armies of the Confederate States during the American Civil War. The estate was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1960 and is cared for by the National Park Service.
