Fairvue Plantation was an antebellum estate near Gallatin, Tennessee, established in 1832 by Isaac Franklin after he left the interstate slave trade. Following the Civil War the property became a horse-breeding farm, and the Wemyss family restored it beginning in 1934. Fairvue was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977, but that status was withdrawn in 2005 after developers converted the surrounding land into a golf-course residential community.
