Howell Living History Farm, also known as the Joseph Phillips Farm, is a 130-acre open-air museum in the Pleasant Valley section of Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, that recreates farm life around 1900. The land was first settled in 1732, when the blacksmith Joseph Phillips bought 125 acres from William Bryant, and his son Henry, a captain in the Continental Army, later expanded the farm to 225 acres; its surviving buildings date mainly to before the Civil War. The Howell family, the farm's last private owners, donated the property to Mercer County in 1974, and it is now operated by the Mercer County Park Commission with the Friends of Howell Living History Farm. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1977 for its significance in agriculture and architecture, and lies within the Pleasant Valley Historic District, designated in 1991.
