Frederick A. and Sophia Bagg Bonanza Farm

Cultural and Institutional Buildings

The Frederick A. and Sophia Bagg Bonanza Farm is a historic agricultural property about a mile south of Mooreton in Richland County, North Dakota, operated as a bonanza farm of up to 7,000 acres from about 1915 to 1935. Frederick and Sophia Bagg, formerly foreman and cook on the neighboring Downing Farm, applied industrial management and cost-accounting methods to wheat, corn, and clover production, adapting a former bunkhouse as their family home. The surviving complex, now run as a museum by a local nonprofit, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 2005 as one of the best-preserved bonanza farm complexes in the country. Has Building Type

Farm, Concepts

Entity-backed identity for the building-type enum value this building already carries, resolved to an architecture concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The building-type fact itself stays on the building unchanged.
