Massenburg Plantation

Massenburg Plantation, also known as Woodleaf Plantation, is a historic plantation complex near Louisburg in Franklin County, North Carolina. Its L-shaped main house was built around 1820 and reached its present two-story form in 1838, with Bungalow and Craftsman-influenced additions around 1910, and the 24-acre property also carries ten contributing outbuildings including a plantation office, smokehouse, cotton gin, storage building, hen house, a circa-1910 bungalow, and the ruins of an overseer's house from about 1832. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, with a boundary increase in 2000.
