Sino-Portuguese architecture

Sino-Portuguese architecture, also known as Chinese Baroque or Straits Eclectic architecture, is an Asian hybrid style incorporating elements of both Chinese and Portuguese architectural styles. It is common in urban centers where Chinese settlers lived in southern China and among the Peranakans of the Malay Peninsula, with examples found and most prominently preserved in Singapore, and historically also across the Malay Peninsula, southern Thailand, Macau, Medan, Vietnam and Hainan, though many such structures elsewhere have been demolished or fallen into disrepair.
