The Adsit Log Cabin in Willsboro, New York has long been said to have been built by Samuel Adsit in 1778, and is believed to be one of the oldest log cabins in the United States still standing on its original site. Adsit, an American Revolutionary War veteran, built the cabin for his family of sixteen after moving to Willsboro Point, though the town historian's records suggest this happened soon after 1790. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in August 1992.
