Arlington Antebellum Home & Gardens

Arlington Antebellum Home & Gardens, also called Arlington Historic House, is a former plantation with six acres of landscaped gardens near downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The two-story frame structure was built by enslaved people between 1845 and 1850 in the antebellum-era Greek Revival style. The house now serves as a decorative arts museum with a collection of nineteenth-century furniture, textiles, silver and paintings, and its garden includes a restored garden room used for events. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 as Arlington, and has also been known as the Mudd-Munger House.
