A barangay hall is the seat of government for a barangay, the lowest elected administrative division of the Philippines, below the level of a city or municipality. It serves as the office of the barangay captain and the meeting place of the Sangguniang Barangay, the barangay council, whose officers' names, photographs and responsibilities are typically displayed inside. It is considered the barangay-level counterpart to a municipality's municipal hall.
