Bayside is a historic sugar plantation house on Louisiana Highway 87 near Jeanerette in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, built in 1850 by planter Francis DuBose Richardson as a two-story brick, central-hall Greek Revival house reputed to have the largest screened porch in Louisiana. Richardson, a onetime classmate of Edgar Allan Poe, served in the Louisiana Senate and helped establish the Louisiana School for the Blind; his daughter married U.S. Senator Donelson Caffery II, and a great-grandson later served as a U.S. Representative. The house and six surrounding acres were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
