Belmead, also known as Belmead Plantation or Belmead-on-the-James, is a historic plantation near Powhatan, Powhatan County, Virginia, designed by the architect Alexander Jackson Davis for Philip St. George Cocke and built around 1845. It later became the site of two Black Catholic schools, St. Emma Military Academy and St. Francis de Sales, including the only military academy in the country for African American men.
