Beth Sholom Synagogue in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, is a Conservative Jewish house of worship completed in 1959 to the only synagogue design by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, developed in collaboration with Rabbi Mortimer J. Cohen. Built of glass, steel and reinforced concrete on a hexagonal base rising to a hundred foot pyramidal roof of corrugated plastic and wire glass, the design draws on the imagery of Mount Sinai. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2007.
