Boscobel (mansion)

Boscobel House and Gardens is a historic house museum in Garrison, New York, overlooking the Hudson River. Built in the early 19th century for States Dyckman, the house is considered a significant example of Federal-style American architecture, its interior enhanced by decorative elements and furniture chosen to represent the Federal period even though not original to the house. Threatened with demolition in the mid-20th century, it was moved about 15 miles upriver from its original site in the Westchester County hamlet of Montrose to its present location near Cold Spring in Putnam County.
