Brabson's Ferry Plantation

Brabson's Ferry Plantation is a historic plantation and working farm at the confluence of Boyds Creek and the French Broad River near Sevierville, Tennessee, established in the 1790s by pioneer Andrew Evans and expanded after John Brabson purchased it in 1798. By 1860 it had grown into one of East Tennessee's largest plantations, and its roughly 250 acres today hold two Federal-style plantation houses built in 1854 and 1856 alongside an eighteenth-century plank house, a log cabin, a barn and a tannery building. Still family-owned and farmed, the property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and designated a Tennessee Pioneer Century Farm in 2008.
