Arco Castle is a ruined castle on a spur high above the town of Arco and the Sarca Valley in Trentino, northern Italy. Its exact founding date is unknown, but it existed by the year 1000, reportedly first built by local citizens before passing to regional nobility. Albrecht Durer depicted the castle in a watercolor in 1495, and it was abandoned after a 1703 siege by French troops under the Duke of Vendome during the War of Spanish Succession. Restoration beginning in 1986 uncovered medieval frescoes of knights and courtly figures within the ruins, which are known in Italian as Castello di Arco and in German as Schloss Arco.
