Carter Farm

Carter Farm, also known as Everbreeze, is a historic house and farm on Boggs Hill Road near West Liberty in Ohio County, West Virginia, built between 1848 and 1852 to a design by D. W. Gibson. The main dwelling is a one-and-a-half-story brick house in the Greek Revival style, with a hipped roof and a symmetrical facade, standing on a 63-acre property that also includes slave quarters, a detached kitchen, a barn, and the Wool House, built in 1819. Its original portico was replaced in 1946, and the property was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 18, 1983, as a documented example of mid-nineteenth-century plantation architecture in West Virginia.
