Central Radio and TV Tower

The Central Radio and TV Tower is a 405-metre telecommunications and observation tower in the Haidian District of Beijing, China, completed in 1992 by the Design Institute of the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television. It served for years as Beijing's tallest structure until the 2018 completion of the China Zun skyscraper, and it remains among the ten tallest freestanding towers in the world. The tower carries an observation deck and a revolving restaurant offering panoramic views over the Chinese capital, alongside the broadcasting equipment that remains its primary function, and it is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers, the international association of major observation and communication towers. It continues to serve as an active transmission site for Beijing's radio and television broadcasters.
