Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge

The Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, also known as the Yongji Bridge or Panlong Bridge, is a covered wooden bridge across the Linxi River in Sanjiang County, Guangxi, China, built by the Dong people and completed in 1912. Resting on stone piers, its wooden superstructure of pavilions, verandas and tiered, tiled roofs was assembled using traditional joinery without nails or rivets, a hallmark of the wind and rain bridges the Dong build across their villages to provide both a river crossing and a sheltered gathering place. It is counted among the largest and most elaborate wind and rain bridges in China.
