The Dean Family Farm has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975. Its origins trace to the immigration of Daniel Dean, a native of Tobermore, County Londonderry, Ireland, who arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1784 at the age of eighteen. Daniel Dean was a son of George Roger Dean, who served in the Colonial line, and Mary Campbell, who was raised with her sister by the Duke of Argyll at Inveraray, Scotland, an ancestral home of Clan Campbell.
