Drayton Hall is an 18th-century plantation house on the Ashley River about 15 miles northwest of Charleston, South Carolina, directly across the river from North Charleston. An example of Palladian architecture in North America, it is the only plantation house on the Ashley River to have survived intact through both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, and it is a National Historic Landmark.
