East Farm (Head of the Harbor, New York)

East Farm, also known as the Archibald M. Brown Estate, is a historic district at Head of the Harbor in Suffolk County, New York, whose land traces to 1689 and whose main farmhouse, a wood-framed, clapboarded Colonial dwelling built for the Smith family around 1690, was substantially enlarged in 1910 by its architect-owner. The property retains seven contributing buildings and one site, including a barn with shed, a milk house, two cottages, a barn-garage complex and an intact formal garden. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 9, 1993.
