The Faisal Mosque is the national mosque of Pakistan, located in Islamabad at the foothills of the Margalla Hills. Designed by the Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay in a contemporary form inspired by a Bedouin tent, its eight sided concrete shell structure makes it one of the largest mosques in the world, and it is named for King Faisal of Saudi Arabia.
