Felicity Plantation

Felicity Plantation is a historic sugarcane plantation on the banks of the Mississippi River in St. James Parish, Louisiana, built in the 1840s by Valcour Aime as a wedding gift for his daughter Felicite Emma and her husband Septime Fortier. The estate passed to a bank in 1873 and was purchased in 1890 by Saturnine Waguespack, who merged it with the neighboring St. Joseph Plantation; the house remains in the Waguespack family. It was damaged in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and has since been restored.
