Hallgrimskirkja is a Protestant Lutheran parish church in Reykjavik, Iceland, standing 74.5 meters tall as the largest church in the country and its second tallest building. Completed in 1986 and known for its distinctively curved concrete spire and side wings, it has become an important symbol of Icelandic national identity. The church is named after the Icelandic poet and cleric Hallgrimur Petursson, author of the Passion Hymns.
