Hampstead is a historic plantation house near Tunstall in New Kent County, Virginia, built around 1825 as a two-story, rectangular Federal-style brick dwelling with a hipped roof, alternating window bays and pilasters, and a central two-story pedimented portico. The roughly 1,000-acre property includes contributing outbuildings: the ruins of a granary, an eighteenth-century cottage and an icehouse. Hampstead was added to the Virginia Landmarks Register on October 6, 1970, and to the National Register of Historic Places on December 18, 1970.
