Hard Times Plantation was a plantation site in Tensas Parish, Louisiana, best known for its use as a staging area for the Union Army during the Vicksburg Campaign of the American Civil War. In 1854 it was served by a Mississippi River packet boat, and wartime maps show three buildings on the property, then held by Dr. Hollingsworth. The site appears in period cartography, including an 1863 Harper's Weekly campaign map and later Reconstruction-era surveys of the Louisiana bank of the river.
