The Helix Bridge, officially The Helix and previously called the Double Helix Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge linking Marina Centre and Marina South in the Marina Bay area of Singapore, designed by Cox Architecture with Architects 61 and structural engineer Arup, opened in stages in 2010. Its stainless steel structure is built around a double helix form inspired by the structure of DNA, and at night it displays illuminated sequences representing the four DNA bases along its length. At 280 meters long, it is a landmark of the Marina Bay skyline in Singapore.
