Hellie's Tepee Pool

Hellie's Tepee Pool, formally Hellie's TePee Pools and Spa, is a commercial hot springs facility in Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis, Wyoming, drawing naturally heated mineral water from the Big Horn spring at about 131 degrees Fahrenheit. It opened in 1967, and after a fire damaged its original superstructure in the 1970s it was rebuilt with the teepee shaped dome that gives the facility its name and its distinctive profile, a design meant both to manage the high moisture mineral environment and to reference the Native American heritage of the springs. The facility operates three natural hot spring pools, including an indoor pool with a waterfall and slide plus outdoor soaking tubs, and as of 2024 is the only commercial hot springs business still fully operating within the state park.
