Howard's Neck Plantation

Howard's Neck Plantation is a historic house and plantation complex about a mile northwest of Pemberton in Goochland County, Virginia, whose main house is a two-story, three-bay brick structure in the Federal style built around 1825, with a shallow deck-on-hip roof and a small one-story Roman Doric portico in a design resembling the work of architect Robert Mills. The 1,450-acre property retains numerous contributing outbuildings, including a one-story frame house said to be the original colonial-era farm dwelling, along with smokehouses, carriage houses, former slave quarters and a tobacco barn. It was listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register in November 1971 and on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
