John Bell Farm

The John Bell Farm is a historic home and farm complex at 463 North Ship Road in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, occupying about 5.3 acres. The original two story, five bay stone central block with its two story service wing was built in 1840, and the house was extensively remodeled in the Queen Anne and Elizabethan styles in 1889, when a cross gable, dormer windows, a two story library wing, a kitchen extension and a two sided porch were added. The property retains a spring house, a tenant house, a corn crib and a barn. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 6, 1984, under reference number 84003235.
