The Pyramid of Amenemhat I is an Egyptian burial structure built at Lisht by Amenemhat I, founder of Egypt's Twelfth Dynasty. Its construction returned to roughly the size and form of Old Kingdom pyramids, and it established a new tradition of giving each building within a pyramid complex its own unique name, with the group known collectively as The places of the appearances of Amenemhat.
