Richneck Plantation is an archaeological site at 185 Richneck Road in Newport News, Virginia, marking a colonial-era manor whose earliest proprietor was Robert Rich, second Earl of Warwick, before Miles Cary Sr. patented the land in 1628 and generations of the Cary family, including Colonel Wilson Cary and Colonel Wilson Miles Cary, held it into the following century. The manor house burned in 1865, and only its foundation survives, uncovered during construction of the George J. McIntosh elementary school and since preserved as an archaeological site covering 2.7 acres. It was placed on the Virginia Landmarks Register in 1976 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
