Rotterdam Centraal railway station

Rotterdam Centraal is the main railway station of Rotterdam, Netherlands, rebuilt to its current form by the architectural collaboration Team CS, made up of Benthem Crouwel Architects, MVSA Architects and the landscape firm West 8, and opened in 2014 to replace a mid-twentieth-century station on the same site. Its most recognizable feature is a sharply angled facade and canopy on the station's northern side, clad in stainless steel and tilted at roughly 60 degrees, a form intended to read as a gesture welcoming visitors into the city. The redevelopment also created a larger public square and improved connections between rail, metro and tram services, part of a wider regeneration of the surrounding station district.
