The Sainte-Chapelle is a royal chapel built in the Gothic style within the medieval Palais de la Cite in Paris, the residence of the kings of France until the fourteenth century. It stands on the Ile de la Cite in the River Seine and is known for the extent and height of its stained glass walls.
