Shadows-on-the-Teche is a 3,750 square foot historic house, garden and cemetery in New Iberia, Louisiana, built in 1834 for the planter David Weeks and his wife Mary Conrad Weeks on what was then a working sugar cane plantation worked by enslaved labor. It has been a National Historic Landmark since 1974 and is owned and operated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
