Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is a five star hotel on Orange Grove Road off Orchard Road, opened on 23 April 1971 as Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts first property. The high rise complex grew in three phases, the Tower Wing in 1971, the Garden Wing in 1978, and the Valley Wing in 1985, and today spans 15 acres of landscaped gardens with 792 guestrooms and suites plus additional serviced apartments and condominium units. It is also known as the venue of the annual Shangri-La Dialogue, an Asia Pacific defense summit.
