The Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is a Shi'ite mosque on the eastern side of Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan, Iran, built between 1602 and 1619 under the chief architect Muhammad Reza during the reign of Shah Abbas the Great. It is regarded as one of the masterpieces of Safavid era Iranian architecture, and was restored in the 1920s under Reza Shah Pahlavi on the advice of the scholar Arthur Upham Pope.
