Speyer Cathedral, officially the Imperial Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption and St Stephen, is a historic religious building in Speyer, Germany, seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Speyer and suffragan to the Archdiocese of Bamberg. Dedicated to Saint Mary, the patron saint of Speyer, and to Saint Stephen, it is generally known as the Kaiserdom zu Speyer, and Pope Pius XI raised it to the rank of a minor basilica in 1925.
