Stately Oaks is a Greek Revival antebellum mansion built in 1839 in Jonesboro, Georgia, standing today within Margaret Mitchell Memorial Park as the centerpiece of the Stately Oaks Historical Community. Also known over the years as the Orr House, the Oaks, and the Robert McCord House, it is part of the Jonesboro Historic District and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The house is one of two believed to have inspired the fictional Tara plantation in Margaret Mitchell's novel Gone with the Wind, and it is now run as a museum with period furnishings alongside outbuildings that include a log kitchen, a well house, a tenant dwelling, an 1896 country store, and a schoolhouse.
