The Hermitage is a National Historic Landmark and museum in Davidson County, Tennessee, about 10 miles east of downtown Nashville. The more than 1,000-acre property was the home of Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States, from 1804 until his death there in 1845, and it also serves as his burial site. Jackson lived at the property intermittently until his retirement from public life in 1837.
